The incredible story of Andy Sutton as he embarks on his adventure to try to achieve a feat of endurance kayaking that has never been achieved before, setting a new World Record in the process.
The LAKES challenge was devised by ‘Canoe England’; it is a ‘Go-Canoeing’ initiative which has become a renowned test of endurance and stamina, only to be undertaken by experienced/competent paddlers. The task is to paddle the three longest lakes in Scotland, Wales and England (Loch Awe, Lake Windermere and Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake) in the quickest time possible. Andy aims to complete the 24 hours of paddling in 48 hours.
As Andy embarks on his bucket-list goal, every aspect of his journey will be captured in a 4k HD short film, that explores all aspects of Andy’s illness, challenges in daily life, the deteriorating nature of his condition, intensive training regime made all the more difficult with limited mobility and of course the epic LAKES Challenge world record attempt itself.
